I recently cloned a HDD to a SSD. I have confirmed that this was an issue on the original drive, so I have ruled out an issue from the cloning procedure. I have run the Network Troubleshooter as well as the Windows Update Troubleshooter. I Ran DISM and DiskCheck, which found there were corrupt files. I did a reinstall from a USB, and had windows keep the old system files. This solved the corrupt system and registry files, but the Windows Update function still can't connect despite all other aspects of Windows and installed software being able to access and utilize the internet connection.
