share premission errors

I cannot run exe files directly from the server. When running them from the
share (\\server\share\file.exe), I get a permissions error that reads
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have
the appropriate permissions to access the item." It does run however when I
execute it from explorer using the drive (D:\folder\file.exe), or using the
unc path from another computer. I am logging in as the domain admin. All
users have full share permissions. What could be causing this?
Thanks for any help,
Brian

You have set BOTH Share Permissions and NTFS permissions.

You missed one of the two.

I have checked and double checked. All users have full security and share
premissions to the file and folders. I am even logging in as the domain
admin. There are no Deny premissions set anywhere on the server

If the same account can access the share/file fine from
a number of machines, but not from that one, then check
the name resolution support configured on the failing
(i.e. on that machine can you use unc with server's IP
instead of name?).
If yes it is resolution issue, if no check whether server
allows that failing machine to access it over network
(i.e. IPsec and/or firewall).
