Windows 10 at log-in won't recognize ANY alphanumeric inputs from built-in, on screen, or external keyboard: CAN'T LOG IN

Am on Windows 10, unable to confirm exact build, running on a 2021 Asus zenbook duo. This computer is kept isolated from the internet almost 100% of the time and has not been allowed a windows update since probably 2021. When new applications need to be loaded I transfer them in on USB.After a full normal day of use, which DID include loading some new programs, powered down computer like normal.Next day, turn on laptop and it loads to the usual log-in screen, however it will not recognize ANY alphanumeric inputs. I can navigate to and open the onscreen keyboard, but pressing alphanumerics
