Playing FLV videos on a TV from a DVD

I have a large collection of Youtube (and other) .FLV videos that I
have saved. Is there any way to burn them to a DVD so I can play them
on a TV using a tv type DVD player? I have a feeling they need to be
converted to another format. I have no experience with burning DVD's
other than just copying stuff from my harddrive as a backup. I've
never made or even copied a DVD for TV use. Assuming I need to
convert it, what software?

Thanks

If your DVD player supports DivX, Xvid, MP4, then convert your FLV
files to AVI format. I can't recommend any particular software, but
try typing "convert FLV to DivX" into your search engine.
