Windows doesn't detect my headphones

I reset my pc while keeping my personal files and for the whole duration of the pc reset my headphones were plugged in, now when I try to use them windows does not detect them, when I first got my headphones and plugged them in a new sound thing was opened on the volume thing on my taskbar (the one that pops up when you click the volume button) I believe it had Realtek speakers in its name. I've tried to unplug and replug my headphones but it still doesn't work. I use the Sony MDR-ZX310 Folding Headphones.
