I bought a Microsoft wireless display adapter to connect my Lenovo T14 Win10 ThinkPad to a new external monitor. When I turn the monitor on with the adapter connected, the screen displays MSDisplayAdapter_37 Ready to connect. On my laptop, I see MSDisplayAdapter_37 in the list, and when I select it, the monitor says Connecting to [mylaptop]... and at the top of my PC I see a small bar that says Connecting to your device but after a while, the bar switches to Disconnected and the monitor reverts to what it was showing before.I've tried MS's troubleshooting tips to no avail.
