Hi, So I was upgrading one of my friends home laptop from windows 7 to windows 10. The Laptop came with windows 7 pre installed and was activated. Windows media creation was not running in that laptop so created bootable USB from another laptop and upgraded to Windows 10. It was showing Windows 10 isn't activated and to enter the product key. As it came with original windows 7 I didn't have any product key. So I went back to windows 7 using restore point. And this time during windows 10 upgrade I did clean install.
