BSOD when powering through power adapter, no problem working via a docking station

Dear Community, I am desperately looking for some help after a year of problems with the BSOD and unsuccessful help by the Microsoft helpline assistants.My laptop Dell Precision 5520 on Windows 10, regularly updated, shows frequent BSODs when I work on the laptop while powering it through the original Dell power adapter. The adapter is new and original.The BSOD occurs randomly, but only when powering the laptop via battery or the power adapter, not while the laptop sits on the docking station (DEll original WD15).The BSOD does not seem to be linked to any specific piece of software.
