I would think so (by now!)

How about these two...

http://browsers.evolt.org/?ie/32bit
www.oldversion.com

Or maybe you can still order the CD from MS. I think by now it's IE 6
SP2.
You might also check the Microsoft web site..

Bill,
Whether or not you should, I don't know. If you want it, try
https://www.microsoft.com for a free download.

Assuming you can get the full thing at their web site, and not just a
partial installer, that needs to be connected to the site as it installs.

I have 98SE and I've used it for years. If you want to upgrade from
microsoft.com, you have to do so using IE, the little devils.

Tip: Before installing IE6 SP1, close all open applications (anything with a
taskbar icon), disable your anti-virus application, real-time protection
afforded by any anti-spyware application, and your firewall (if any). If
running ZA Free, uninstall it prior to installing IE6, then reinstall
afterwards if desired.

Tip: Reboot twice!

I got it last night. It's SP1. I've been using Firefox. Not sure
about the cookie handling with IE, it seems awkward.

Thanks PA.

BTW, Paypal suspended my account because I had the temerity to buy
something on ebay when I was out of the country. First Paypal paid
the vendor than they took back the money.

In order to get paypal running again I had to change my paypal
password, and I couldn't do it with Firefox2, running under win98SE.

I couldn't do it with IE6 either, so I thought the Paypal web page was
totally messed up.

After callilng hteir help, they suggested another browser, so I used
Netscape 8, which worked fine.

Don't forget that IE6 is still not the most recent version of IE. IE7
won't run under 98SE, fooey on microsoft.

OTOH I do have th emost recent version of Firefox 2 and it dien''t
work because they never tested with it. And Netscape8 is the latest
version and handled it fine (so much for both being written by
mozilla.)

The problem was more than appearance. The first screen to change the
password said, Do you want to answer the security questions or do you
want to answer some other question, I forget what. Whichever choice I
picked, instead of asking me the questions, the next screen said,
"Sorry you failed to answer the questions. Try again." Going Back, I
was at the start again. The intermediate screen that Nestcape8 was
able to display never even flickered by in the other 2, and so I
wondered why paypal wasn't getting complaints about this all the time.

Hi mm,

I have Netscape 8.04, I should have tried that on My View at the
Nextel site. As I recall it said I needed IE. I have Opera 7.11,
Firefox 5.0 (ver 2.0.0.12) and OB1 also. IE 5.5 didn't work.

My XP Pro Notebook has IE 6 SP2, so I used that to get into my
information on the site but I want it on the PC. Now that Sprint is
involved they are re-configuring the site and a part of my
information has not been upgraded yet.

I should also have tried Opera, I have it configured to identify
itself as MSIE 6.0. :)

With Netscape 8.04 some sites will say it has a problem and shuts it
down. However on most sites it handles everything that some of the
others don't.

Take care,

Regards,

Bill Watt
