So basically I wanted to disable DHCP client , but when I disabled DHCP. I noticed my windows updates was not working anymore. I then looked at the dependencies of dhcp and found out that network location awareness is a service that if you disable, windows updates will stop working. I didnt disable network location awareness, but it is dependent on the dhcp service I disabled. Why microsoft? why is it like this? not everyone wants to use dhcp server, but disabling dhcp also disable your windows updates due to windows updates being linked to Network location awareness.
