¿What happens to a dynamic disk if I format my Windows or change its version?

I have a dynamic disk configuration for two HDDs (not for the OS, just for games and personal stuff). I want to format my PC with a fresh install of Windows, but I'm afraid it will delete everything. Do I need to do something before formatting, or is there a way to avoid losing all my personal files? Any recommendations? Or should I avoid formatting my PC?
