Computer continually crashing with BSoD when attempting to connect to WiFi (2.4G) on new router

I have changed my ISP this week who installed a new router (5G + 2.4G). My previous router was only 2.4 G and worked fine with my pc (Acer Aspire Z5600) since this only works on 2.4G bandwidth. Since the new installation as soon as my pc tries to connect to the new router it immediately crashes with the BSoD (error code: Driver IRQL Not less or equal to: rtl8192se.sys). This file ref is indeed the network adaptor for wifi connection. Each time my pc restarts the BSoD keeps repeating. I did manage to get my pc running and tried to update the adaptor's driver but it tells me it is upto dat
