Windows 10 Update Previews

I'm running Windows 10 Home version. My question relates to the recent Windows update for the .NET Framework (KB5025367 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2).The description states that it is a "preview" type update. It is my understanding that the download of preview type updates are optional for the user. However, this was automatically downloaded and installed on my system.Does the option of delaying this type of download not apply to .NET updates?
