Why does Microsoft change things that are working and mess it up? The old Weather App was fine, but the new one....?

I have just uninstalled the weather app. It has been 'updated' and looks a complete mess. It worked so well before. Clear images and useful. Not any more. There is now a map and blocks of adverts cluttering the space and I do not want them. I have already deleted Collections because it has become an 'image monster'. Very sad!!
