Windows 10, in Windows Explorer, displays thumbnail images (as Large Images), but eventually appears to have cached too many thumbnails as instead of loading the thumbnails the "loading" bar (which appears at the top of Windows Explorer as a blue bar which progresses left to right when loading icons) becomes very slow and eventually stops... never finishing. Any attempt to access the drive at this point fails and PC must be hard rebooted since attempting to Restart indicates Windows Explorer is busy and cannot be interrupted to initiate a controlled reboot.
