In short: There is a serious driver issue (either some code/data inside the driver itself or a kernel driver on the driver stack) while using a D-Link device with its (Microsoft signed) D_rtwlanu.sys driver. The "rt" in the driver name propably indicates a Realtek chipset. The entire system instantly freezes right after connecting to a 5 GHz AC network and keeps frozen for approx. 10-15 seconds. Finally the system goes down with a bugcheck of type DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. On the other hand, connecting to a 2.4 GHz network works fine. No hang, no bluescreen.
