No, the answers elsewhere are not correct/sufficient.First off, why is spellchecking something that is set up in the "settings-> devices -> typing"...Generalizing autocorrecting and spellchecking to be a global on and off like that is the reason why so many people can't perform proper grammar, people are being trained into turning their brains off and leaving all the thinking to the computer which doesn't do it properly.I haven't succeeded at finding a way to deactivate the forced, not chosen, modification of what I type in for a year now because it's so convoluted and I never had the ti
