Why is OneDrive using up so much system memory even when not syncing?

I have a workstation where OneDrive is running (SharePoint synced to FileExplorer), but there are no changes apparently being made from what I can tell. Syncing is on, but it just says 'up to date' in the status in the system tray for it, or occasionally 'looking for changes'.However, it's using up over 2GB of RAM in this state and slowing things down a tad. If I click Pause Syncing, it goes down to 150MB, so it's definitely doing something. We have the settings set to keep files on the cloud and On-Demand, so they aren't taking up local storage space on the drive. I'm not sure if it's possibl
