How do I disable "Use automatic settings" in Intel(R) usb 3.0 extensible Host Controller

I need to access an old windows 7 drive, I can't use any keyboard and mouse even though the USB legacy support is enabled in the BIOS and my pc does not have one of those ancient PS/2 ports, so I went through Google and came across this Microsoft support article stating some fixes I guess which needs me to disable (IN THE TITLE). here's a pic
