There is no way for me to set up a new WiFi connection on my computer. What am I supposed to do to finally getting working with wifi again?

On the Network and Internet Settings page where the WiFi tab should be (between Status and Ethernet) it just isn't there. And whenever I go into the Network and Sharing Center and choose Set Up a Connection or Network and choose Set Up a New Network, no new networks show up even after ten minutes. And the Connect to the Internet option only lets me set up a broadband connection, which I don't have. Finally, troubleshooting isn't helping because it only brings up things about the Ethernet cable being disconnected even though I don't use ethernet.
