Started with OneDrive on an older laptop, it uploaded and synced all my pictures that were stored on my laptop hard drive and new ones when I uploaded them to my laptop. Get a new laptop, download all my pictures from OneDrive. But now I'm working in OneDrive instead of on my hard drive and it's painfully slow. So I manually copy my photos over to my hard drive and put them in a folder named Photos (One drive folder is called 'Pictures"). I switch off the sync to and it's no longer super slow to edit, rename etc. my pictures. I've done a fair amount of work so I turn on to upload these photos
