Reloading my own (paid for) windows from the internet without disk or key

My laptop recently crashed and I had it fixed by someone who loaded windows but am not sure if I trust that it is legit. I want to reload my own windows which I pay for each year but have no idea how to do this now - very technologically challenged . Could anyone assist? Thank you
