Why cant I open downloaded apps like spotify, discord, and more?

When I try to open up apps like Spotify it opens up to a black screen and then closes. It's the same for other apps like Discord. I recently changed my Microsoft account on my pc so I'm thinking that my new account does not have permission to open background apps. I'm not sure. I'm still able to open other things like video games and google chrome. Please help.
