Screen stretched on my extended display which is a regular TV screen

I was just cleaning my laptop while it was on, (foolish of me I'm told) and the next thing I know is that display on my extended screen is stretched. I have tried the usual solutions such as1. checked display properties for resolution (recommended) 2. Updated windows and restarted3. checked update for display driver Nothing has worked so far. Can anyone please help me? Thank you in advance
