My pc at my office has two monitors. Both connected to the pc from the pc's internal video adapter. One is connected with HDMI; the other uses a DVI connection. My pc at home has 3 monitors. One connected to the pc using its internal video adapter; the other two connected using a Dell D3100 docking station which is connected to the pc via a USB port. All three monitors are connected using HDMI. Both computers are left on 24 hours/day but go into "sleep" mode after a period of non-use.
