Thumbnail preview empty after disc clear

I did a disc clear as it was recommended to try to allow thumbnail pictures to show (90% of the pictures showed but 3 folders wouldn’t)… after the disc clear now nothing shows. Pictures are still there, they just won’t show the thumbnail preview. I even clicked the preview + details to show and still nothing. I hope you can help!
