MS Windows 10 pro license for Virtual Machines on a PC (Laptop CAD Workstation)

Hi We would like to know which MS Windows 10 Pro license type is required for a virtual machine , which is installed on a Laptop (heavy CAD workstation) via VMware Workstation Pro software. Currently we have used the workstation OEM Windows 10 Pro license key, but activation cannot be performed, why some settings cannot be used in the OS.Regards Soren
