can someone help me find out why I keep getting a (C0000005) error when trying to play the campaign for the 2004 Axis and Allies.

I am trying to play the 2004 axis and allies game on my Windows 10 pc. It will crash when I try to load a scenario from the campaign. I get the following error message { thread ASYNC caught unhandled exception - Access Violation (C0000005) trapped at 23:21109C10 } . I have done a memory scan, a disk scan. I have AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor 3.40 GHz and 32.0 GB of ram Edition Windows 10 Home Version 22H2 Installed on ‎11/‎29/‎2020 OS build 19045.3208 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19041.1000.0 any help is appreciated
