I have a Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller network adapter. I have 500Gbps internet but can't set my link speed faster than 100Mbps. I've set my duplex to 1Gbps in advanced properties through device manager. When I run PowerShell script: Get-NetAdapter | SELECT name, LinkSpeed, fullduplex | ft -autosize and saw the 'Name' is 'Ethernet' and the link speed is 100Mbps still. I ran the script: Set-NetAdapterAdvancedProperty $adaptername -DisplayName "Link Speed & Duplex" -DisplayValue "1000 Mbps Full Duplex" where I changed $adaptername to 'Ethernet' and got an unresolvable error.
