For some reason HDMI audio is no longer working. I've done two recent changes since the last time I know it worked - the first was a routine Windows Update (just a security update, not a feature update). The second was switching to UEFI boot using mbr2gpt, which unfortunately also means that I can't just rollback using system restore....Anyway, I've checked the sound applet in the control panel and it does detect the audio device, including the speaker configuration (I have a 2CH TV and a 5.1 home theater system so I checked both).
