How to change file path username without account being unlinked with Microsoft account?

I have a Microsoft-linked pc account which has a user file username that has an unsupported ASCII character (as shown in the image), this has caused some issues such as not being able to download some software since it cannot recognise the character. How can I change the file path username without my Microsoft account being unlinked since all of my data is on that account so that I don't lose data?
