Computer frozen at 98% of MS update

MS was doing an update on a Win10 laptop and at 98% it froze. Wants Bit Locker recovery key I don't have one. Tried several times and freezes at 98% each time. I did the F12 and tried every thing. How do I change the boot sequence? I want it to load USB before drive C: I see the Boot tab on the top of the BIOS but after that I'm lost. LOLVernon
