Extensions?

AVG antivirus gets installed as an extension in Microsoft Edge without me doing it. Removes it but it comes back again and again. It says it's from the Microsoft Edge Add apps Store, but is it? Is it a virus, spyware, or other security threats - or is it trustworthy? Is it so that AVG makes Microsoft Defender, which probably is much better - disabled so it can't do its job? How do I get rid of AVG for good as an extension? Should this be reported to Windows or not?Is Windows 11 more secure than Windows 10? Should one not use windows 10 for security reasons?
