Why won’t my laptop turn on when i install a M.2 SSD

I’ve just bought a m.2 SSD and want to use it with my iOTA flo360. Every time I try to put it in my laptop won’t turn on, as soon as I take it out my laptop will work again. What can I do to solve this?
