How do I stop the Windows 10 alarm from reducing audio of other programs when it goes off?

Tried looking for this answer, but the only thing I could find responded as if this was some sort of mistake when it happens on literally every machine that uses this program.Can't find anything in the Alarms and Clock program itself, and unchecking the "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" does absolutely nothing about it.I understand the intention, but it's obnoxious and disruptive when I'm listening to something else and have to drop everything and reset it when an alarm or timer goes off, and not having a way to easily disable it seems kind of stupid. Please tell me
