Local acct login changed to Microsoft login. Gave it a new password. New password now does not work. Clicked forgot password. Used email. Never g

When responding to another question I inadvertently change my local account to Microsoft account. Now the login won't allow me in with the password I know is correct. So I used there forgot password selected email. Never got the email. Kept trying and it finally locked me out telling me to wait till tomorrow. It's now tomorrow and it still tells me that I've tried too many times. Tried count live password reset with no difficulties but it still doesn't help the log in.
