Is it okay to turn off my laptop during a Microsoft Defender Offline scan?

It's taken 2 hours since I started this scan. I did a full scan before and ended up with around 2 million files scanned, and I don't know if it is supposed to be taking that long.I have a Dell Latitude E6230, Intel inside core i7 and RAM of 16GB. (I put extra RAM in there)Please help me fix the issue as I don't know what to do.I'll paste a picture of the screen:

My windows laptop is locked with a childlock. I never put a lock on it so I have no idea how to take the lock off
