wifi adapter has disappeared on windows 10 since installing new router....?

Hi.I have just had a new Sky router installed and since have been unable to connect my windows 10 pc to it.Have established that the wifi adapter has disappeared therefore connecting via wifi no longer given as an option.Have tried everything I have googled, to no avail!Can anyone help please?Thanks.
