How can the parents get control of the child's xbox account?

Our son's gaming habits are out of control and ruining his future. We as parents would like to put some limits as to the hours when he can play. We cannot put his account as a child under family since we do not know his xbox account password which he is not disclosing to us. What are our options to get hold of his account information so we can put parental controls on his account?
