.net framework error

after installing an new update 2 weeks ago id say ive had certain apps not launch giving me the . net framework error and asks me to install i do so and i says i already own it also tried repair tool and several other things from youtube but still no luck just paid for a game on steam and i cant launch it bc of the framework error any help is appreciated thank you
