how to delete an administrator account from a standard user account and turn a standard user account to an administrator

Hi, I created an extra user and made it an administrator and the old one a standard user. I am trying to login to the administrator account it said i should enter my Microsoft password i am pressing the password and it is not showing. i pressed it even though it didn't show and i clicked enter it said put in a valid password. I also tried to add the standard user account to be an administrator, but it is saying an error occured . please i need help i am unable to do anything involve an administrator.
