I have lost my bit locker key. And I do not see any way to recover it. What should I do?

I do not have my bit locker key, maybe it was saved in someone else’s account, who first setup the laptop . And I have no idea, who or where that person is. I guess, I’m going to have to factory reset it. But, even if I factory reset it, how would I get my bit locker key? What should I do?
