Reinstalled Windows 10 Pro trying to fix touchpad problems, got new problem with Search in the Taskbar!

I reinstalled Windows 10 Pro (22H2) trying to fix touch pad problems! After the reinstall the Search Icon and the Search box in the Taskbar would not work. Icon did not open Search and could not type in Search box! Finally found the problem in "Settings, Personalization, Lock Screen" dialog. The box for Get fun facts and tips from Windows and Cortana was uncheck. Turned it on and presto Search Icon and Search box both worked!By the way, the reinstall did not fix the touch pad problems!
