How do I get back all my data from the 2T hard drive after I installed the Creation Media Tool?

Hello,I installed the Creation Media Tool onto my external hard drive (which is 2T and has all my pictures and files from years of backing them up) but I did not get a warning that all of my personal files would be deleted. I really need to get them back. I've been trying to find ways on how to redownload them but I cannot seem to find a way how. Please let me know if there's a way to get them back.Thanks in advance,Nadine A
