Xbox controller won't connect to PC

My bluetooth seems to work fine, as anything else I try to connect has connected without issue, but this Xbox 1 controller simply won't. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? Also, I don't know what category this goes under, so I'm gonna place whichever sounds like it fits. I've tried a lot of different methods provided, even tried updating it, which it was fully up to date, no effect.
