How can my laptop turn itself on and turn on wi-if when i clearly cut them both off at night?

At the end of my work day (work from home)I go to the lower right-hand corner and disconnect the wi-fi, then shut the laptop completely down and power down only to wake up the next morning and find it on. This happens intermittently. Again the Wi-Fi and the power are completely off, so how is this possible?!
