How to put original file names as a Tags in the EXIF data of jpg files.

I am using Windows 10. File Explorer uses EXIF data as "Tags".My Nikon P900 assigns filenames like DSCN7398.JPG. I have a set of snapshots as "headshots' of individuals. DSCN*.jpg in folders. I'll rename the files to names like Al Allens.jpg Betty Boop.jpg, Chuck Chaplin.jpg, and so forth.Before I do that, is there a bulk way to first put the original filename into a new Tag? I.e., a new EXIF field?I have a hard copy list of the people's names in the order the photos were taken (not alphabetically). I'll use those hard copy lists to 'manually' rename the photo files.
