how do I reset my pc?

I tried going to settings, update and security, recovery, then clicked get started on reset this pc but the setttings just crashes or freezes after i try to open it. After a minute of trying to open it, i get an error on msedge.exe that says entry point IsExtensionPointDisableSet could not be located in dynamic link library.I also pasted sfc/scannow on my command prompt to check if something is broken but it doesnt seem to find any problem.
