The Windows 10 search tool doesn't disappear once the search is done

I click on the <Windows> key. I type in the search string. Please see the screen shot below.I like the selected item in the Best match list. I hit the Enter key. The File Explorer window of interest is opened but is not at the top of all displayed windows (as it should be). Also, the above shown window doesn't disappear. Why is it still displayed? If I want the newly opened File Explorer window to come in front of every other displayed window, I click on <Alt> + <Tab>. Then I need to travel at the bottom of the list of every currently opened window/application. I've been usin
