The error has nothing to do with Windows Update.

PS: It's "fatal exception 0E" (number zero, not letter "oh").

The 0028 errors {IIRC} seem to relate to VXD and/or registry errors.

Could potentially be a corrupted driver or related registry entry...

Any other information available, like what was done just prior to the
error...

If it wasn't too long ago you MAY be able to correct it by reverting to an
older saved registry if available.
